I read a lot of people will skip this event now because of this. No one wants to do 2 of this rather long tfos every day, 40 in total. The last years it was 2 Points per TFO, 1 for the Omega stuff. Very bad decission to change that.

Yeah...at least it's a fun one, though! I've been wanting more mechanics-heavy TFOs for a while now instead of just "hold objective by killing everything"!

@counselor-sunna.bsky.social Just a bit of feedback. Not a fan of having to run 2 TFOs for the daily progress in the event. Preferred just having to do one like we did in the past. More time consuming which puts me off do much else in STO

Because I worked counter right wing domestic terrorism with the FBI for 16 years, still know hundreds of agents in the Bureau, ATF, DEA etc, and know exactly how they are doing this.
TFOs are Task Force Officers so like officers assigned to the JTTF etc they can be state or local law enforcement

On the whole, I mostly use battlezones as a place to wait for TFOs to fill, and for quick Dilithium rewards. The drop-in-drop-out nature of them is nice, and I like them as a concept. I'd love to see some of the old ones get re-worked.

I get lag when on DS9 , I get lag on Risa doing any of the events. I haven't done any runs lately with a parser on, as there really isn't much point with the lag, and can't say I've seen a noticeable difference. Even doing Random TFOs, I still get some lag but no idea if others are parsing

In the case of older TFOs, they'll get their Advanced and Elite versions back after the Event.
From observation (not anyone saying anything on the record), though, it takes a while for newer content to get Advanced and/or Elite difficulties going post-debut.

I like the weight of D&D. The sunk cost fallacy keeps people playing with me. I can't say that about WoD (original flavor), TFOS, or any of the others I've enjoyed. D&D is still my home.

Yeah, I've been doing patrols for marks and experience to get those specialization points. I think TFOs are the other thing. I haven't done any group stuff yet (other than the occasional Drozana Station dance party 😝)

Most TFOs instead focus on rewarding us on doing well instead of penalizing is for doing something wrong. Which i think is why there are people reacting this way. I know, simple solution, people shouldn't be toxic, but sadly...
