*hums in Art Nouveau*

A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of my OCs The Watchers (two of my OCs, small creatures with no faces under their hoods, mouse-like ear bumps, robes, and gold hands). Their robes are a brighter orange than usual.
Top left is a white text box with lettering (all text is hand lettered) that says:
“I PUT MY OCs THROUGH SO MUCH…”.
The left Watcher is facing right, and has their hood pulled all the way over their head, and their ear bumps are flat on their head. Their right hand is facepalming their hood (who knows if there’s a face under there; not us!), their left hand at their side. They have huge feathery wings in red, blue, and yellow, like a macaw. They are saying “She’s still obsessed with Anton Seder, isn’t she?!!”.
The right Watcher is facing left, and looking over their shoulder at their wings and robe. Their hood looks startled; their ear bumps are straight out to either side. They have wings like fish fins, with long neon green ribs with pink spotted skin in between. They are saying “Sweet Prophet, WTF am I WEARING?!!!”.
Both sets of wings were inspired by the work of Art Nouveau artist Anton Seder.
I love breaking the fourth wall (Bob says they’re 2D, so it’s the third wall, but I’m not listening. La, la, la.)
Background is sand and deep blue sky dotted with stars.

The Watchers take their duties as alarm clock to The Prophet very seriously. The song, on the other hand… The Watchers do love the Anderson Sisters.

A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of my OCs, The Watchers (mysterious dimension-hopping robed creatures with gold wings -usually- and hands, but no visible faces)(they might not have faces; they might be sentient robes, we have no idea), standing back to back, playing brass instruments.
The Watcher on the left is facing left, playing a trombone. Their wings are red bat wings with gold claws on the end of each rib.
The Watcher on the right is playing a trumpet, and their wings are feathery and beautiful, partially raised, behind the left Watcher.
There are bent black musical notes outlined in white on either side of the Watchers, suggesting they are playing very badly. They are supposed to be playing to wake up The Mouse Prophet, who is off-page to the right, yelling (shown by a spiky speech bubble outlined in black and silver lines, with fancy letters): “SNOOZE, FOR ME’S SAKE, SNOOZE!!!”.
(There is no snooze button on The Watchers, but The Prophet regularly crushes actual alarm clocks, so The Watchers fill in, like the excellent assistants they are!)
Under The Watchers is purple drawn text that says “MORNING, ALARMED.”.
The ground is beige, the sky is deep blue with white dot stars, and there is strong light coming from the left like a rising sun, throwing a long shadow from The Watchers to the right.

The just finished The Watchers, and wow that felt like a nepotism movie...

It felt like a senior school art project with a really high budget.

That idea was kinda cool, but execution wa subpar.

Avec #TheWatchers, la fille Shyamalan hérite du sens du mystère de son père… mais aussi de ses pires travers. Si la mise en scène est soignée et les effets réussis le film déraille vite : persos aux réactions absurdes, mythologie bancale et final bidon.

I’m late to @amshine.bsky.social’s #TheWatchers, but I really enjoyed the concept. #StayInTheLight moves from the single room setting of the first book to the wider Ireland, but there’s a lot of setup here for a much bigger story in book 3.

WIP, developing the pencil #sketchaday of The Watchers showing off their blood collection. They’re very proud of their collection.
I don’t know how that bottle of Chianti got in there. It’s not like they DRINK blood; they just collect it. Completely normal! 😁

A WiP of my OCs The Watchers, small creatures that appear to have no faces, with wings, robes, and hoods that have little mouse ear bumps in the fabric. Their wings and hands have the first coat of gold paint pen on them.
One Watcher is standing on the far left, has their back turned to the viewer, and is placing a bottle on the top shelf. Both of them have their wings folded back behind them. The other Watcher is on the far right, facing the viewer, holding a sign that will say “WE COLLECT BLOOD FROM EVERY DIMENSION!”.

They are standing in front of a wall of shelves filled with many, many kinds of bottles, drawn out in ink, labeled, but not coloured yet. Each shelf has labels the say which dimension the blood came from, like “Marvel Dimension”, which is next to a label that says “D.C. Dimension” on the bottom shelf, and “Q Dimension” two shelves above. There is a bottle of Chianti on the second lowest shelf, which is marked “Earth Dimension - 1 Planet”, “Lot of People, Though!”, and “The Whole Shelf!”.
The bottles are all labeled according to the shelf label, and they’re all silly. The “Dinosaur Dimension” shelf has bottles marked “RAAAR!”, and Dr. Wu’s Soft Cardigan”. (I’m not sure what’s in that one; The Watchers are a little hazy on what constitutes blood.)
None of theses labels are essential to the picture, they’re me amusing myself and the two people who will enlarge the image enough to read my bad handwriting.
This WiP is happening because I love the idea of The Watchers being not quite sure what blood looks like, but being very proud of their comprehensive collection. The Watchers are such scamps!
