9. "Scurry" by Mac Smith

Beautifully illustrated with great characters, a lot of adventure and a thrilling story set in what seems like a post-apocalyptic US, it was a lot of fun, I had a great time with it. 🥳

10. "Days at the Morisaki Bookshop" by Satoshi Yagisawa, translated by Eric Ozawa

Such a bookish atmosphere in this one, it reminded me a little bit of the game Tiny Bookshop. A very cozy read, I enjoyed it a lot. 💖

5. "It's Not A Cult" by Joey Batey

Written like a found footage movie, this book digs its claws into you and keeps you wondering what the next big twist is going to be. You know it's coming and you likely know what it might look like, but it'll still shock you

8. "The Electric State" by Simon Stålenhag

Also beautifully illustrated, tonally very different from the Netflix movie adaptation, just so you're aware, with a slow, quiet and very muted story that is told both by the text and the illustrations. Loved it.

6. "Lost Ark Dreaming" by Suyi Davies Okungbowa

Great blend of dystopia, post-apocalyptic settings, class hierarchy observations and Nigerian mythology, I think I read this in pretty much one sitting, it was so good. 🌊
