The one in the video is less known: Mykolaiv painting, a local southern Ukrainian tradition used to decorate wooden chests and household items in the late 19th-early 20th century, with simple floral patterns.

Yes. One uses traditional fashion editorial (which is edited and corrected because it is considered art) and the other uses photojournalism (which is not because that’s verboten in journalism)—both to great effect
I think they're great because they convey some ethereal majestic power.
Also the WH Vanity Fair shoot is great because it conveys "look at these hideous ghouls in their dank lair"
