#waterharvesting
I love watching videos from Brad Lancaster about Rainwater harvesting. They are always so positive, and practical. Makes me want to live somewhere dry, just so I can implement these ideas.

I have some new posts on the Instagram page #Warid

#Warid it is just a side project that I use to archive pictures of #Waterharvesting and #traditionaltechnologies, just like a photo dump.

Feel free to have a look and follow it: www.instagram.com/warid.blog/

On the mountain the water is staying surprisingly well in the new reservoir. It probably only needs a little sodium bentonite to make it properly watertight.

After 48 hours of almost non-stop rain, the new water basins are holding up well: there’s still water in them. With a bit of extra natural clay added they should become great toad ponds!

Under the almond field we’ve dug a new water-catchment basin. Together with a small berm it should slow down runoff and reduce erosion further downhill. Heavy rain (DANA) is expected in the coming days – curious to see how it performs.

Update on #water outage ...
It's back on!
🚰🚽🚿😁
AND, as a bonus, the water run off filled all the #waterharvesting basins on our little block here in #Tucson.
Additionally, I saw a fellow take a shower in the gush from the water hydrant!

Nature has some incredible ways of collecting water, and spider webs are definitely one of my favorite ways to harvest water
