The game calls itself a "Yoyovania" and I'm really here for that concept; all of the key upgrades and abilities are centered around learning new yoyo tricks. Much like how Laika: Aged Through Blood styled itself as a "Motorvania" and a lot of progression in that game is centered around the bike.
