I went to see this at Sheffield Showroom around the time it was released and had forgotten all about it and then I read Stuart Braithwaite’s book last week and found out it had a cult following. Think a rewatch will trigger lots of memories.

No worries - didn’t mean to come across so bluntly but had just come in from beta band. That’s my excuse!

The 72-76 is perfect for long night time drives but 80-82 is my favourite.

Both the 77-79 and 80-82 comps are phenomenal.

Comrades: Yvonne Kapp

1986-1990 Rollin’ Under the Melody compiled by @jonsavage.bsky.social is a perfect compilation. On the last one I’d have dropped the terrible Psychedelic Furs Heartbeat 12” and Alison Moyet for Propaganda’s Duel and Strawberry Switchblade’s Since Yesterday but this is all utterly wonderful.

This was such a great episode and it pointed me in the direction of Hons and Rebels for which I will be forever grateful.

the marketing of this book is WILD once you see which Mitford it is
Book cover: the pursuit of laughter, essays, articles, reviews and diary of the most controversial Mitford sister. And it’s DIANA MOSLEY. Complete with a generic picture of a 1930s society belle’s face in pearls.
