Protestors outside the Sandyford in Glasgow on the last day before the safe access zones come in. They cannot arrive soon enough. No “silent prayer” today. Loud protest that would be distressing for any woman or girl accessing the services 😭

I know many of you will know Dr Emily Cooper (criminographer): if, like me, you still have a Twitter/X account but never use it, please consider making an exception to send her and Darren your love, support, prayers - whatever you want to offer.

It’s a huge issue in Scotland - Glasgow in particular. Much needed policy in my view.

I am so sorry I missed this and that we did not get to talk more. I couldn’t make it to the second part of the conference yesterday. This looks super interesting.

I'm trying to be more diligent about crossposting for people who have been kind enough to follow me here. Yesterday, some people on Twitter asked me to explain the difference between a four-in-hand and Windsor knot, and why one would be considered "better." So here's a thread. 🧵 (1/19)

That and being Gruntasnorus Poo Face of course.

Could someone please persuade @dieworkwear.bsky.social to start posting his cool stuff about men’s fashion on here? It’s literally the only thing I miss from X/Twitter.

Ha ha Tebay is my second home with relatives in Manchester and London. It is nice but only in the context of motorway services. It’s not somewhere I would rush to visit if it wasn’t on the motorway …

I think the time has come to leave Twitter/X. But I can’t do it without one last hurrah for my finest moment. I am on the Blue Place with the same username but nothing I do there will ever top this 😭 #WhenTwitterWasGood

So today I joined a meeting with a High Court judge and Scottish Law Commission with my Zoom name as Gruntasnorus Poo Face. How’s your day going? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you. I feel a bit like I did in the early days of Twitter when I didn’t quite know what I was doing!

My work life (where I research this kind of behaviour) and my home life (as a parent of a girl who plays football) are coming together and not in a good way 😭

This man grabbed his penis when Spain won and forcibly kissed Hermoso on the lips without her consent. All on live TV. Now they are trying to gaslight us into believing “she wanted it” by publishing pictures of her body language. I feel sick. ...

Heaving into ⁦@UofGlasgow⁩ on another scorching day for the annual Sir Gerald Gordon Seminar in Criminal Law. Remembering Pete Duff and Gerry Maher, who both died this year. Both were supporters of the seminar right from its inaugural event in 2009. We will miss them.
