Honored to be the Fobes Ronald lecturer at Iowa State University this week. Great university, great students, and an abiding interest in nitrogen - what could be better?

Vaccines Cause Adults! One of my favorite signs from yesterday’s Fort Collins Stand Up for Science rally.
Gebetic Diversity paper doi link is broken. Here is citation (withoout offending doi:) Schmidt, C., Karachaliou, E., Vandergast, and others (2025), A Survey of Mammal and Fish Genetic Diversity Across the Global Protected Area Network. Conservation Letters., 18: e13092.
I submitted an error report to DOI and told the authors. It truly is not functional. Will repost when they fix. Sorry.
New paper by Schmidt et al. (doi.org/10.1111/conl...) genetic diversity finds mammal populations more genetically diverse near multiple protected areas. Older marine protected areas had more genetically diverse fish populations. Brought to you by the Powell Center ([email protected])
