I learned today that Ohio State faculty can’t put a land acknowledgement statement in their syllabus and that we can’t ask students to voluntarily disclose their pronouns. #firstamendment #ohiostate

What will it take for the Supreme Court’s conservatives to acknowledge the obvious political reality that many state legislatures and the Trump administration HATE transgender people and consider them subhuman? The death of transgender people is on their dirty hands. All of them. I am so disgusted.

The NY judge in charge of the criminal case against Mayor Adams is Dale Ho — former ACLU lawyer who Republicans tried to keep off the court. Sweet!!

Remember when courts said Biden overstepped his authority when he tried to rescind some student loan debt? Are those courts going to rein in Trump’s outrageous overreach? Waiting …

Trump ban on gender affirming care extends to age 19. They are coming after adults. States have historically defined age of consent for health care. But states rights are out the window under Trump.

In case you missed it, Trump is now blaming the hiring of disabled people for the airline crash. Of course.

You are correct but X chromosome does develop before Y chromosome so the first sex designation after conception would be female. So Trump is either nonbinary or female but definitely not male according to his own EO.

Do not let them in unless they have a warrant signed by a judge. A criminal warrant. Not an ICE warrant. Leave the door shut.

Not getting attention but Trump administration is beginning to dismantle disability accessibility. Waiting for ramps to start being removed both figuratively and literally.

There is no need to apologize for being a decent human with love for the Lord and fellow humans. Good on her for following the Lord and telling Lord Dump Truck off in such a beautiful, Godly way. She is my new hero.

Trump’s gender executive order makes everyone female by defining sex “at conception.” Guess we just elected our first female President!

The real headline from today’s Trump case is that 4 Justices are completely in Trump’s pocket. Their immunity ruling was as broad as it seemed.

They no longer tie children’s arms to the bed following eye surgery. It’s my earliest memory. Barbaric.

I had a memory today. I was 4, and awake in hospital after eye surgery. My eyes were bandaged shut. My arms were tied to bed. I was terrified. But my mother said that a cousin had lent me a phonograph player so I could listen to music in hospital. I went from sad to happy in an instant. #disability

BREAKING: Federal judge rejects a challenge to the use of race in Naval Academy admissions policies.

The lawsuit was brought by the group that successfully sued to end race-conscious admissions policies in colleges. In that opinion, SCOTUS noted that it was not ruling regarding service academies.
In this case, SFFA has challenged any consideration of race by the Naval Academy in
its admissions process. After an intense one-year period of discovery and a nine-day bench
trial, this Court has found that the Academy's admissions program withstands the strict
scrutiny mandated by the Harvard case. The Naval Academy has established a compelling
national security interest in a diverse officer corps in the Navy and Marine Corps.
Furthermore, that interest is indeed measurable, and the Academy's admissions program is
narrowly tailored to meet that interest. In short, this Court defers to the executive branch
with respect to military personnel decisions. Specifically, as noted by Justice Kavanaugh in
Austin v. United States Navy Seals, "the President of the United States, not [this] federal judge" ultimately makes such decisions,108 Accordingly, based on the foregoing Findings of Fact and
Conclusions of Law, this Court enters the following:
ORDER
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED AND ADJUDGED THAT Judgment shall be
ENTERED in favor of Defendants and AGAINST Plaintiff Students for Fair Admissions.
Pill D. Bentt
Richard D. Bennett
United States Senior District Judge

Listening to oral argument, I am struck by Kavanaugh’s stupidity. No, the Constitution doesn’t come with rule book saying what are correct outcomes. It requires Court to protect groups from discrimination. He wants to abdicate that role. Sort of like Senate abdicating its role to advise and consent.

I wonder if states will next try to ban gay men from men’s bathrooms and ban lesbians from women’s bathrooms. Patriarchal fragility.
