Very enjoyable and informative ‘field trip’ to @hepworthwakefield.bsky.social to see the Caroline Walker exhibit.

Very relevant to my PhD studies and great to compare approaches for studying unseen ‘work’ at home.

Highly recommended.

Very interesting column for any professionals in the world of educating and training members of the public (or even other professionals and students for that matter).

The urgency to improve on our reliance on written information (I’m looking at you NHS!) grows stronger by the day.

Learning game design has been an unexpected delight in my PhD.

I’m in the process of using my lit review to produce a game as an educational tool. More on that later.

However, whilst that’s in development, here is today’s effort which was making a game out of dispensing prescriptions!

More on this to follow…

I cannot express fully how wonderful an experience it has been to be part of this group.

So welcoming and friendly, with honest and open discussions.

Thank you to the Somali community in Sheffield.

Attended a great workshop at Helix@Leeds to learn how to film interviews - lighting, sound, the works. Stephen @sjm85.bsky.social and I tested our skills with a hard-hitting exposé: What do academics do for Valentine’s Day? Learning to edit next week, stay tuned for some questionable camera angles!

Moving towards video output is quite a learning curve, but I am embracing it!

Stay tuned for the videos soon! As soon as I finish the video editing course.

👏 Great work, really feels like we’re making progress on helping families to have their voices heard and in the ‘official record’ that is peer reviewed publications.

We’re in Leeds for our next parent/public advisory group meeting.

It should be lots of fun, more details to follow.
