A convincing argument for changing the criteria used to choose the winner. This year’s recipient seemed like a good choice because she wasn’t Trump & we accepted the Nobel Committee’s description of her virtues. It seems our approval was too trusting.

Yes, this sums up the situation for me too. On the basis of his promises and his reputation as a man who had shown respect for human rights in his career, I voted for Starmer as Labour leader. His statements before the election, notably on Gaza, stopped me voting Labour.

05/24 Biden said he would keep back weapons from Israel if it launched the ground invasion of Rafah. Israel invaded.

10/24 he sent a letter saying continued military assistance depended on more aid being allowed in. Israel ignored him.

No embargoes or sanctions were imposed on Israel by Biden.
