for @slate.com I wrote about Joe Arpaio's view on the SCOTUS shadow docket decision in Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo, the case in which Kavanaugh said it was okay to racially profile people.

Idahoans are happy to sign the Reproductive Freedom & Privacy Act initiative. Especially my neighbors in Bonner County after the loss of our labor & delivery unit.

People are angry about the harm the extreme trigger ban has caused. They want to go back to how it used to be. www.backtoidaho.com

George Stephanopoulos gave every journalist in the US a crash course this weekend on how we deal with dishonest authoritarians.

People like me have been demanding this kind of accountability journalism for a decade.

Where’d we be now if journalists had been fielding lies properly for a decade?

Iowa is not Idaho
Idaho is not in the Heartland

Iowa: 🌽🐖🌪️🚜
Idaho: ⛰️🎣⛷️🥔
Need help? I’m a pro. Give me a holler.

We’ll knock out this extreme abortion ban together.
Collecting signatures, in the wild, with no vetted lists, for the Reproductive Freedom & Privacy Act in rural Idaho has been exceptional!💅

If you haven’t started collecting signatures, why not?

You should try to get one signature today. 😎 I know you’ll like it. #idpol www.backtoidaho.com

The last remaining Planned Parenthood in Idaho intends to stay put, continuing to provide a range of reproductive health services. That's even after federal cuts to Medicaid and the state's near-total abortion ban.

It’s time to pull back your watering. Cacti like to be watered when it’s rainy season in the desert, (spring & summer). Grandpa taught me that. Works like a charm.

I water once a week during that time and the rest of the months, more like once a month.
My favorite part of last night was watching the men tell their man friends to come over and sign the initiative! 🥹

Great crowd! Signatures from 3 counties!

I bet Rocky Horror Picture Show is going to be like fish in a barrel! 👽⚰️👩🏼‍🎤💋🦇 I’ll need some helpers that night. #idpol
Thanks @abbottalynn.bsky.social for collecting signatures for the Idaho Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Act initiative outside a screening of a well attended film about mental health at the Panida this evening in Sandpoint!

I stopped drinking coffee last month.

I stopped buying beef.

I remember being a kid in a low income household. Meatloaf was in the regular rotation.

That same meatloaf today would cost me $15 to make.
You guys, tell me how the tariffs are affecting you in real time so far. For example, coffee is up 20% from what it was last year at this time.
What else?
My heart breaks for this man, his family, and so many families who are not getting this level of coverage.

Make it stop.

This is not good.

I applied for a job I wanted really bad a while back and my cover letter was flagged as being written by AI.

I just ran some of my recent, 100% written by me, google docs through an AI detector. All of them were flagged.

WTF @developers.google.com?
My neighbor two doors down has a “Honk if you support Ukraine” sign in his front lawn.

It warms my heart to see & hear so many people, especially working men, in my community honk when they drive by.

It never gets annoying and it happens all day long. ❤️ #idpol
