Sec Trans is threatening to fire Air Traffic Controllers who call in sick during the shutdown, blames Democrats.

They are already working long shifts 6-7 days a week. No juice left to squeeze. More will call in fatigued as this continues.

Sadly I don't fish the river there much anymore, the little time I have to fish around Salmon I spend fishing as high up in the Lemhi Mountains as possible.

Not sure where between riggings and Salmon my mind thinks they shouldn't move about but it's on the riggings end 😁 but certainly no higher than the middle fork confluence.

I had zero caffeine between January and mid September.

These last 2 weeks have made up for that...

Between the shortening days, the general state of the world, work drama, budget and SOC2 audit.... It's been a bit much.

Definitely has a bunch of people I know who spend an insane amount of time on the river talking.

That said, as aggressive as Smallmouth are, I don't love the idea of them being that far up... But if they're there I want to catch them.

I've fished the upper Salmon a lot... And I've never heard of a Smallmouth that far up. But I know two of the three people who've reported catches (who know WTF they're talking about)...

Kinda makes me want to target Smallmouth the next time I go see family. I ♥️ Smallmouth fishing in rivers...
