this tweet turns 10 today 🎂🥳
Tweet from Adrian Bott @Cavalorn

'I never thought leopards would eat MY face,' sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party.
Nothing political happening in Portland at the moment, makes sense.
2. Rolling Stone is owned by a large media conglomerate, which is ending remote work across its brands.

My home is Portland, Oregon, ~1,000 miles from the nearest office, so this marks the end of the line for me at RS.
“I wasn’t ‘playing video games at work,’ I was responding to an urgent collaboration request from my coworker, MomSlayer69.”

Over at Reason we have a "puppycide" tag for cop-shoots-dog stories going back to 2012. Easiest way to get a normie 4th Amendment-pilled against the cops is to show them this stuff reason.com/tag/puppycide/

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

You don't have to judge Columbus by the standards of today. His tenure as governor of Hispaniola was so horrific that he was dragged back to Spain in chains to answer for his many crimes.

Plus he never set foot on any land that would ever be a part of the United States of America.

Okay, I'm an idiot. Leaving this up for posterity of stupidity. My fell for it again award is in the mail.
You didn't make this one up, I've seen it on the back of Joe Manchin's Maserati.
Chat, is it normal to obsess about the afterlife a few days after your second "yearly checkup" of the year?
Assuming this might not have been in jest, it is not a HIPAA violation. Law enforcement are not covered entities under HIPAA.

"Trump and MAGA are the reason your child lost their special education services" is the message, that's easy. Distribution is going to be hard.
They wiped out OCR. They wiped out OSERS. They wiped out ED OGC. These offices and their functions are all required by federal law, and thats simply not going to happen going forward.

Special education services will be contingent on being able to find competent counsel to represent you.
The end of federal enforcement of special ed laws. Some states - including MN - will likely be ok. But a lot of disabled kids in a lot of states are going to lose the education that federal law and decades of jurisprudence say they are owed.

The Education Department laid off nearly everyone at the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services.

The rubicon for me was SCOTUS’ departure from reality in Kennedy v Bremerton.

When the Court decides imaginary disputes that are not presented that ruling cannot be legally binding. SCOTUS has ceased being a court at that point and is just legislating.
"No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law." 5A

From the e-bike post, a story that definitely did not happen, about a product the author doesn’t understand.

From the “less regulations” party: “Nobody gets to drive anything with a motor — electric or gas — without a driver’s license and registration.”
A section of an asinine article about e-bikes, reading:

“But this kid wasn't just riding his. He was pulling a wheelie on the thing while doing about 40 mph. His front wheel was up so high, it nearly took my face off. Which means he wasn't looking at any stupid flashing crosswalk lights.
/ Follow Opinions on the news
It was such a blur, it took me a second to realize what nearly ended me. The kid was 30 yards past me now, still flying along, looking back, laughing.
I yelled, "What the actual.." - you know the rest.
He grinned and yelled back, "Sorry, Pops!"”

This by @katmabu.bsky.social is the best speech I've heard yet by any politician about what ICE/Trump/Noem is doing and it's not close.
I am just so fucking proud of her.
Really feels like "R camp is feeding bullshit to reporters" is newsworthy, especially if other reporters are repeating it as gospel.
