My all time favorite baseball game is a 16 innings regular season game during a season when the Orioles won 54 games total. It was on the west coast. Lasted 6.5 hours. Ended after 5am. I stayed up all night watching it and have rewatched it numerous times.

Disagree entirely.
The tension it causes is shitty, horrible falsely created tension that I have no interested in watching.
The extra innings tension tonight? That was great fucking fun.
Manufactured strategy is also stupid.

The things is, you can just go home and go to sleep if you have to work the next day and don’t want to stay up.
(I always just stayed up because baseball is more important to me than sleep.)
I’d rather sacrifice sleep than watch a game end via unearned run. Any day.

God I loved that game. The pain, the suffering, the absolute drag, the self inflicted punches to the face. The feeling of relief when it's finally over.

That was my all time favorite baseball game ever and I have watched the entire 6.5 hours more times than I care to admit. I had it saved on my DVR until we got rid of cable and moved to Fubo. Random game in a season when we won 54 games.
