I came back from Germany with a terrible cold but rediscovered over the counter treatments: fresh ginger tea (just sliced ginger with hot water) is brilliant against the lurgy. Hot bath followed by lime flower tea then bed is excellent too 🏥

I observed a member of my other half’s family scooping the last bit of 🍄‍🟫 risotto out of the pan. Maybe an opportunity to write “Ten tips to make mushroom risotto”. Tip 1: make an incredible stock. I used 50% fresh veg stock, 40% mushroom stock and 10% water that the dried porcini had soaked in 🍄‍🟫

Two meal options:

1. Risotto with dried porcini, fresh girolles and chervil from our garden

2. Roast salt marsch lamb with herbs ( thyme, winter savoury and rosemary from our garden) and vegetables.
