May have confused people.

My apologies. Back then it was Life of Brian. Today it's Mr. Creosote.
How many people do you think are in Denial?

We're on the precipice of a seismic shift.

Media, Data, Religion, and Fanaticism are all gelling very nicely.

All it then needs is there to be something really unpleasant and the fault of people who can be easily blamed.

I'd use Sheeple. But I'm Horse.
Dangit. When I clicked "Repost" it was at 404.
The AWS outage bricked people's $2,700 smartbeds, leaving them in a reclining position or with the heat up. People were unable to use them, basically. A GitHub repo exists that lets people operate their beds without reliance on the normal infrastructure

When Amazon Web Services went offline, people lost control of their cloud-connected smart beds, getting stuck in reclined positions or roasting with the heat turned all the way up.

SPEAKER JOHNSON: We had tea and cakes and it was lovely. Next question.
Q: Has Speaker Johnson reached out to you since the January 6er made a threat on your life?

HAKEEM JEFFRIES: No
They keep trying to keep that bubble inflated.

Maybe the DoJ will start issuing credit cards.
Highest credit card delinquency since the financial crisis 14 years ago.

Add that to home sellers outnumbering homebuyers, consumer confiance plummeting, consumer spending plummeting, inflation increasing, growth decreasing unemployment increasing… a brewing storm.

Good economic news all around👍👍
Not a great idea.

We already know Sharpie Stalin isn't good with escalation.

I’ve had tinnitus since March and this provided immediate relief.
Fellow tinnitus sufferers: I was Googling, again, and randomly fell upon this Reddit comment and ... uh ... it actually worked? Or like, seriously reduced the ringing at least temporarily.

But a lot of white people are white peopling ALL over this thread. Disgusting.

Don't think we don't see you. We do.

Y'all stay forever telling on yourselves. 😒

The first time the Confederate flag ever paraded through the US Capitol was on January 6, 2021.

The first time the White House was damaged in over 200 years since the US rebuilt in the 1820s after the British burned it in the war of 1812 was mid October, 2025.
Give a fascist an aneurysm.

Moskowitz: We need $30 billion to extend, obviously, these healthcare subsidies, which allow Americans—Americans, not illegal—Americans, citizens, to afford healthcare.

And the president’s like, “We don’t have $30 billion, but I am going to send $40 billion to my dear friend in Argentina.”

Today is my first day at AWS.

I noticed a small bug in DynamoDB clustering implementation and I think I fixed it.

Shipped to prod already.

Going to make a coffee and will check back if everything is working.

One thing the AWS outage should show is that these companies are far more embedded at the institutional level than people think and that’s precisely why students were asking their universities to disinvest rather than pushing individual boycotts.
Heart goes out to all those workers impacted by the AWS outage.

Be nice to the human you deal with. It's usually not their fault.
