Had so much fun winning the West last night I went back and relived the other three times the Mariners have won the American League West Division Championship. It's a brief history, but a fun history!

I think the weather has actually for real this time flipped over to fall!! Fingers crossed I don't jinx it by taking the air conditioners out of the windows and turning on the heat!

It was obviously a different television culture, but in 1997 local channels carried the cable broadcasts of Mariners playoff games (such that they were).

I swear I have a memory of our local broadcasters on those, but I may just be conflating it with playing the radio and muting the tv.

What a thing to wake up and remember that the Mariners won that torturous game and get to keep torturing us! 4-7 more games! It’s gonna be awful and I’m so happy!!

I wasn’t old enough to legally drink the last time the Mariners played in the ALCS. Although I drank more then (like, a lot) than I do now (literally not at all) 😂
