IANAL but I think one would argue that the announcement of an interim counts as “public announcement of a new head coach” and therefore a player could enter the portal on Friday this week.

Policy specifies “hire or announce” which is vague, and the NCAA ain’t winning in court much these days.

This is exactly how the NCAA worded it in their announcement, btw.

for my part, Sally the only things that gives me pause are her lack of journalism experience or ethics, her sophomoric writing level, the fact that she's a censorious scold, and a virulent Islamophobe but aside from that she's just as good as Les Moonves, the serial sex predator who used to run CBS

This is really smart. Amazed at the hysteria over the ascendance of a woman entrepreneur who clearly knows how to cover and sell news and who's not afraid to take on a mob. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

James Franklin needed to go because he utterly failed to create any programmatic identity for Penn State that they could rally around to elevate the program to elite, so highly-talent teams played worse than the sum of their parts. Bad at QB development, too.

I wouldn’t have done it today, tho.

Local hospital/medical center admissions for alcohol poisoning might be a better tranche of data but also harder to access, I’d imagine

Love King Arthur flours — didn’t know I could get industrial quantities tho… 🤔

Not sure Wisconsin wins again this year (not pictured is the finale vs. Minnesota)
Wisconsin's remaining schedule, with matchups against four ranked teams in seven games (six are pictured here). The Badgers play Iowa, Ohio State, Oregon, Washington, Indiana, Illinois and Minnesota to end the season.

It’s wild that Michigan’s been bad at handling up tempo as a defense for like five years now and neither coaching staff has really addressed it(?)

went for two on the road, made temple burn their last timeout with window dressing shifts, got the two point on a great play design, and then temple didn’t have a timeout for its frantic drive

“Indiana having a credible case to be ranked No. 1 in football” is literally something I didn’t think would happen as long as I lived.

The job Chris O’Leary has done with Western Michigan’s defense is really remarkable, and kudos to the player personnel staff in KZoo for bringing in the right transfers/croots to have this sort of potential.

I mean… woof

Overthrow, incomplete, Eagles will kneel it out and win.

Huskies convert and get down to the EMU 27 after the catch.

EMU takes a timeout ahead of a 4th and 4 play that NIU has to convert to stay alive. First of the half for Chris Creighton.

NIU runs on 2nd and 7 and that takes us to the two-minute stoppage with 1:58 to play.

It will be a 3rd and 6 for the Huskies after the break.

Tomasek's punt bounces into the end zone from the 2 for a touchback.

NIU will have to go 80 yards in 2:18, or something far more miraculous, to tie/win this. EMU defense is basically a stop away from being close to a win.
andegraham.bsky.social
EMU offense runs it three straight times, and forces NIU into burning all three timeouts. Thomas Hammock could've let it run to 2 minutes there and saved one for his offense, but he opted to have more time. 2:26 left as EMU punts from midfield.
