When I or other bipoc talk about how White people need to do the reading before involving themselves in talks on racism, it's often treated by White people as a dunk. They see it as an attack on their intelligence and insist they know enough for the conversation at hand.

I don't keep up with hockey transactions like I do baseball so it's fun to tune in and whoa, new guys! Who are those guys?! I bet they're awesome! Ben Meyers eh? Hell yeah seems like a solid guy. Like how baseball was as a kid, before the internet took all the mystery away.

Honestly if Obama did a diarrhea plane video, would Dems have suddenly turned against him, since this is the question we're always supposed to ask apparently? I really don't think so. Would they have been...surprised? Yes. That is the real difference here.

Star Wars rewatch takeaway: the sequel trilogy relied on us not knowing what was going to happen for excitement, and so they're less interesting with each revisit. In the prequels, we knew exactly what was going to happen, and they're richer as time goes on, for me (I know not everyone thinks this).

Dang, judgey physician today! If I would just eat right and exercise more, I wouldn't be depressed. 1) That's not why I called. 2) I have tried those things to various extents and they haven't helped. You don't know me! 3) Hard to do with SMI. Therapists and psych providers know this, so should you.

I will cheer up and get into "it was a good run!" mode soon, it really was. But I'm also not getting over it. Disagreeing with the manager is time-honored tradition of course, but I have never felt anywhere near this. Don't see why I should buy Mariners tickets until Dan Wilson is out.

Mariners developed a team superstition and all grew them, so it's extra temporarily! Now that they've lost they will be shaved en masse.

Reminds me of that year the Braves lost and Kimbrel was fuming in the pen, so pissed off he wasn't going in. The Mariners don't have any guys who would express themselves that way. But they all know what happened.

Man, I was prepared for a loss. If the Mariners had used their best weapons and it hadn't worked, I would have been fine, that's the game. But that was so stupid, I just feel let down and embarrassed. As much as 10yo me loves him, they're wasting this window by employing Dan Wilson.
