Really humiliating to get to Trader Joe’s before it opens and have to mill about outside. “Please sir, mightn’t I have access to your treats?”

Curling is so good as high-volume, always-on background viewing. Way better than the endless swimming events in the Summer Games.

Children today will never know the thrill of the Bud Bowl. I swear there were years I cared about the outcome more than that of the actual Super Bowl.

Yeah, definitely was useful entry-level metal for younger me. Great sound though.

Gojira was pretty much the highlight of the Paris Olympic Opening Ceremony; I would not be opposed to seeing some of Milan's own Lacuna Coil tonight.

For those of you who asked if there was any way to help out Dan's family:
It's been really lovely reading all the tributes to Dan. Many people have asked if they can contribute to support his wife and son. You can do so here: everloved.com/life-of/dan-...

Very important news: new bodega cat. I remember when the last one disappeared, I asked where Linda had gone, and the deli owner said (still enigmatically) “she got married.”

Also remember this and have a laugh. I think it was Dan’s favorite thing that ever happened.

I remember an interview with Adams last summer where he said it was brand new to work with a quarterback who asked for input or had any consideration for anyone around him. Sounds like Aaron Rodgers was the worst teammate imaginable.
It's crazy how much better Davante Adams looks with Matthew Stafford than he did with Aaron Rodgers....
