For those of you who asked if there was any way to help out Dan's family:
It's been really lovely reading all the tributes to Dan. Many people have asked if they can contribute to support his wife and son. You can do so here: everloved.com/life-of/dan-...

Very important news: new bodega cat. I remember when the last one disappeared, I asked where Linda had gone, and the deli owner said (still enigmatically) “she got married.”

I think the key that unlocks Dan was his desire to share the things he loved with other people. Wouldn’t be the worst way to honor him if we make the effort to do that for the things we love, too. defector.com/dan-mcquade-...

I remember an interview with Adams last summer where he said it was brand new to work with a quarterback who asked for input or had any consideration for anyone around him. Sounds like Aaron Rodgers was the worst teammate imaginable.
It's crazy how much better Davante Adams looks with Matthew Stafford than he did with Aaron Rodgers....

It's so cool how every team always suddenly starts making the dumbest decisions when they play New England.

I'm currently reading a book that chronicles every death in the Grand Canyon and it's cheerier and less nasty than Drake Maye's game so far.

Remember, if the Patriots lose, it's because they finally faced a real team, and if the Patriots win, it's because they haven't faced a real team yet.

Cat’s review of the snow: interesting to watch, but the plows make terrifying noises. So, a mixed bag.

I do not respect people who clean out the bread and milk before a normal snowstorm BUT I do respect those who go to Trader Joe’s. If you’re gonna be stuck inside for a couple of days you need treats.

This is interesting because it's kind of the exact dynamic of sports media over the last 20 years. A bunch of newer blogger/amateur/enthusiast types are more sensationalist about forecasts and models and the old guard believe it's totally irresponsible.
