Reid is better than Belichick, though. Coached two championship-caliber teams in two different conferences in two wildly different eras.

Will always wonder what happened if T.O. was healthy to finish that year. That injury is why the horsecollar tackle is outlawed.
Andy Reid is whistling past the graveyard IMO.

1. I have never heard a coach advise running backwards to avoid pressure.
2. Williams kept floating backwards in the pocket before he fully bailed. I think he had space to step up and then try Kmet or Odunze on the outside.

I will always have a ton of respect for how Sean McDermott handled things in real-time when Damar Hamlin had his cardiac arrest. Something that no coach can be truly prepared for, and he met the moment.

With Sean McDermott out in Buffalo, here are the longest-tenured coaches in the league:

• Andy Reid
• Sean McVay
• Kyle Shanahan
• Zac Taylor
• Matt LaFleur

Do people think sports writers just sit around and watch games and not learn how the sports actually work?

Listen. A primary objective of being on here is to prove, once and for all, that I am a #ballknower
Ben gets it. This is why we follow.

*whispers*

That TD at the end of regulation was absolutely horrendous QB play. Got bailed out because the CB fell asleep.
It’s a bad int. As good as Williams had been that was a terrible throw. Cost the Bears the game.

My take: Kam Curl was on top of the play the entire time. Even if Moore had flattened his route, Curl was probably still beating him to that spot.
And here is the All-22 sideline copy of the Kam Curl INT, so you can get a better look at what exactly happened on that play.

It feels good to be around NFL Twitter again!
Happy to see my guy @bbaby41.bsky.social on the official app of sports. Follow Ben!

Dots on that Kam Curl INT in overtime.

The dots on an absolutely absurd play that the Rams had no business surrendering.

And yet, they did.

Caleb Williams gets his answer prayered.

Good decision by Ben Johnson to go for it, especially this late in the game.

But here's the look at that fourth-and-goal that ended in a Rams stop.

I know people are gonna say this game stinks but I’m having a blast watching 2 defenses kick the crap out of the offense

If the Texans somehow win this game, the entire defense should be in the running for MVP.

Don't care how they make it work. But it needs to happen.

You know, I'm beginning to think Houston trading up for Will Anderson was a pretty smart move.

C.J. Stroud’s 4 INTs are tied for the most in a playoff half since at least 2000, according to ESPN Research.

His completion percentage over expectation in the first half is -16.5!!!!

Of course! I want to be on here as much as I can as a thank you to @minakimes.bsky.social for including me on her starter pack.

At the very least, I'll try to keep posting big news and nuggets over here as much as possible.
I appreciate that you and others like you are on this platform. I've always appreciated your reporting through various news aggregates and so I can understand the dilemma. But still, glad you're on here, as much as you can be

Honestly, I think this place is perfect for many people. Which is why engagement on here is really good.

It's a lot of really good and smart sports coverage infused into a political landscape that is *very* different from anywhere else.
Feels like the only times I see his posts they are about how this place sucks
January 15, 2026 at 2:26 AM
The reduced reach because of not being everywhere is tough to swallow, no doubt. But it's so hard to have the bandwith for everything.

There's a lot of reporters, including many I'm close with, whose coverage I absolutely enjoyed that I never see anymore because of how all the sites have changed.
You are hardly on this site. I’m not sure you can make an accurate assessment. I like your work, but I never really get exposed to it anymore.

I think we're doomed to using three microblogging sites from now until the end of time, unfortunately.

Twitter was supposed to go belly-up a while ago and nearly everyone in sports still uses it.
Stop trying to make Threads happen. It’s not going to happen.

I've come to the realization that Bluesky is essentially the LinkedIn equivalent for sports media/sports reporters.

Here's what navigating the social landscape has taught me about B2B sales:

Crazy day in the NFL, huh?
January 13, 2026 at 9:37 PM
Bengals WR Tee Higgins saw an independent specialist on Thursday morning to get clearance to play on Sunday vs. Miami, Zac Taylor said.

Taylor wanted to keep it under wraps before the team hit the field in Miami.

Joe Burrow, when asked by reporters in Miami if today was fun: "I'm having fun playing football. Not playing football is not fun. Sitting in the locker room rehabbing all day, that's not why you do it. This is why you do it right here."

For the Bluesky crowd (hello, hope everyone is having fun here!):
