How could someone like this do something manipulative and creepy? Although, I thought these folks called the feds at the prospect of shared bathrooms?

@jvl.bsky.social Two words. Challenge Coin. One side says "JVL is Always Right" the other says "Sarah is Always Right." Could be used like Harvey Dent's to determine fates of foes. Someone in the comments suggested "Fight Fight Fight" on both sides.

the comparative dearth of reporting on NSPM-7 is in part, speaking generously, due I think to how a lot of elite media looks at it like a rant. They are accustomed to things like that being serious legal documents for them to have impact, and in a saner environment, that would be the case. But…

Letitia James and James Comey have the best lawyers on earth and will almost certainly be fine. The fact that there’s a zillion stories about them and virtually none about NSPM-7 - which affects countless ordinary people - really says something about who the media writes for

This is terrifying!

ICE breaks into this woman’s car in the pick-up line at West Loop Elementary school in Chicago and detains her before she can pick her kids up from school. (They were eventually let go after showing their documents)

This is Trump’s America.

VICTORY: Today, together with our partners, we won an emergency order stopping federal agents from using violent force against protestors in Illinois. Federal ICE/DHS agents are now blocked from using tactics like tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse lawful assembly. protdem.org/474KWsA

Today my @nytimes.com colleagues and I are launching a new series called Lost Science. We interview US scientists who can no longer discover something new about our world, thanks to this year‘s cuts. Here is my first interview with a scientist who studied bees and fires. Gift link: nyti.ms/3IWXbiE

The Norwegian Armed Forces should be on high alert. Norwegian Cruise Lines ships should prepare for a MAGA boycott and/or droning at sea. Anything Scandinavian will be suspect. Danes, Finns, and Swedes should expect to be targeted as well. substack.com/@milestaylor...

This is a wild headline. This is our reality right now. This is the deranged man leading the free world.

I've been wondering what other issues could be solved by a few million in Trump coin purchases or a couple lunch bags of cash to key people in DC. A new opportunity to facilitate change for philanthropists and grassroots fundraisers!

Our authoritarianism is run on clichés borrowed from the Eastern Europe of twenty years ago. Paid protestors, disloyal cities, evil Soros, vast conspiracies — it was all tiresome then and there, and now it’s pathetic.

Trump: "They're, like, insurrectionists, they're terrible people. But you really wonder why. Why are they doing it? What are they gaining? Other than they're obviously paid. They're paid a lot of money."

I'm pathological about following stuff, but I have lost track of some of these stories for sure.

My God. So, it's the right time to get into organized crime or working for a hostile intelligence service?

The elimination of USAID is a moral atrocity and all involved made a choice to enable, and then lie about, ending the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
MAE SOT, Thailand (AP) - Mohammed Taher clutched the lifeless body of his 2-year-old son and wept. Ever since his family's food rations stopped arriving at their internment camp in Myanmar in April, the father had watched helplessly as his once-vibrant baby boy weakened, suffering from diarrhea and begging for food.
On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."

The Trump administration last month made explicit what it has been implying for months, namely that it considers videotaping ICE raids to be illegal and intends to go after those who do it. thedispatch.com/article/dhs-...
