I think one of the funniest part of the ps3 "we dont know how to market these games" localization era of Yakuza is the marketing tagline for 4 was "do something awful today" as if this isnt the series ABOUT people with hearts of gold in the criminal underworld lmao

Btw if you have a Samsung device, don't update to OneUI 8 if you haven't already. It locks the bootloader, so you can't use another OS if you wanted to. This is important because the ability to install unsigned APKs is planned to be heavily restricted by Google in the near future

So theres a couple ways to do this. You have PortProton, Heroic Games Launcher, and Lutris. All are available as Flatpaks. PortProton allows you to right click on the exe and select it to run the game. You can also change proton versions and Heroic let's you add it the exe to a UI and run that way

I still personally think TXR0 stands on top, I also wish multibattles were more common and that the BP requirement for cars after chapter 5 was removed. But it doesn't detract that this is an excellent racer crafted with love and care and I just feel happy I had the pleasure of experiencing it.

TXR25 is simply pure fun that brings intrinsic value. Mastering your machine at high speed, thinking five steps ahead the second you flash your lights, the breath of relief when victory comes... Its an addicting cycle capturing the mechanical joy given by fifth/sixth generation titles

I beat Tokyo Xtreme Racer and I'm sad that it's over. It's a game that's so confident in its gameplay loop that it doesn't need to egg you on to keep playing, you just WANT to. Every corner every runoff is ingrained in your mind by the end. It's the best balanced of the series
