In short. LC is an insidious disease. It can take many forms, effect many systems. How debilitating it is may vary, but i had not one moment of felling healthy in all this time.

My mood wings usually and on depressed. Memory loss, trouble finding words, can only concentrate for short periods.

There's one other health issue i am too embarrassed to mention.

I no longer or only rarely have: tachicardia, nausea, sleep apnea, panic attacks & more that escape me at the moment.

For that i take antihistamines.
So, i take asthma spray, antihistamines, occasional anti-inflammatories for sleep and the muscle spasms, plus a ton of supplements that cost me an arm and a leg each month. I will only mention Nattokinase, the best natural blood-thinner not made from worms.

My vision is sometimes blurry, it feels as if i am losing my eye sight. I now have eye floaters in both of my eyes. For this i did see a doctor, kicking and screaming. The retina is fine. But something is off.

My digestion plays yo-yo, which never was the case before. Might be a mild case of MCAS.

Tinnitus. I have had this before, but LC has made it worse. Tenfold. This is the reason why i can't wear earplugs, in case you wondered above why i don't wear those to not get woken up by neighbors. Can't. Earplugs make the tinnitus louder. Fucked.

There's sporadic pain. I do stretches and what not. It feels like when your leg has fallen asleep and is in the process of waking up, but at all times.
The other difficult area is my shoulders, both are in pain, sleeping on one of them impossible, on the other only in one precise position.

But i want to avoid addiction, already went through that particular hell early in life, which is why i only take pills on the weekends, when the neighbors are even nosier, the inconsiderate assholes that they are.
Besides lungs and sleep, my legs are falling asleep. I lost almost all feeling in one.

The other huge issue is insomnia. I can get to sleep, thanks to CBD (i think), but then the smallest noise from my neighbors wake me up. And there always are. Then i lay awake for hours. Thankfully i learned how to meditate many years ago, so that is what i do. But it is annoying. Pills would help.

My lungs are fucked, or seem fucked. I don't have any, data since i avoid doctors, but i wake up wheezing, coughing and discharging phlegm pretty much every day. Can't walk up the stairs without taking a break. Ride my bike only on flats. Fucked. I take asthma sprays, and they help some. Not enough.

As far as symptoms go, things continue to shift. Low energy is no longer the hugest issue, in other words i learned how to pace myself, to avoid crushes. And yes, it's a boring life, when for every activity you need to consider if it might over-exhaust you. But fine. I hate crashes, so i do that.

How could i trust a md who participates in the normalization of this horrendous disease?! And most of them do. I don't know one clinic where staff and patients continue to wear masks. Which they absolutely should. Another reason why i avoid mds is because i hate to beg them to wear a mask. I mean..

Since you didn't ask, here's what's happening with my #LongCOVID five years and seven months in:

The first thing i need to say, i avoid medical doctors.

For one i can't forgive how they treated me at the start, when they ridiculed and gaslit me. But much more importantly so, i lost trust in them.
