[Lyn Venable, author of "Time Enough at Last" (If Magazine 1953) and “The Missing Room” (Weird Tales 1953), died on March 31, 2025, at the age of 97. Lyn was surely the last living person to have contributed to both the original Twilight Zone and the original Weird Tales. Last leaf on the bough.]

In better news, it looks like I have “officially” hit the 10lb mark of weight loss. The scale goes up/down sometimes (I weigh on kg) and it really seems to depend on lady hormones (wheee!) and how much water I drink, but…this number seems pretty consistent. So yay?

After 25 years of operation, Cine Libre Ikebukuro will close its doors on January 31, 2026.
The cinema is part of Theatre Cinema Group (own by Nikkatsu) which manages 7 cinemas between Kanto and Osaka.
I first saw it in the early 00's when I started really getting into J-horror and Asian cinema in general. Blew my mind! I have soooo many thoughts!
I had a great time doing the commentary! I've loved this film for so long. Working on it was really a joy!
