Among other updates, ICE/DHS were told -- again, this time by a judge -- to remove the fence around ICE Broadview. It was still up when I left at noon. And as this story reports, today IL Sens Duckworth & Durbin were denied entry, as other local officials have been for weeks.

It doesn’t always work but when you see a video if it makes you feel uncomfortable a lot of the time it’s you recognizing inconsistencies in AI videos. At least double check for an original or look actively for AI artifacts

Couple things when you watch. Pretty clearly municipal police with the uniform. Her mic only had 9….most have the call letters. The people watching across the street blur and look to be dressed strangely. Absolute lack of any useful identifiable logos

Ross Douthat treats this guy like they're having some deep conversation about the relationship of Christianity and the government, but the dude is a garden-variety dull, shallow, hateful, worthless bigot with nothing interesting to say, just endless riffs on "God hates everything/everyone I do."

Douthat: So that’s the first purpose of your political project, for America to stop making God angry.

Wilson: Yes. And most people think that when they are confronted with that project, they think that we want to get our tentacles into everything and start controlling everything. I actually think we need limited government. The government should be significantly smaller than it is, and we need to curtail a lot of the busybodyness that we have. That’s why I would call myself a theocratic libertarian. There is a true libertarian element in this, and yet, the transcendent grounding for what we’re talking about means that we acknowledge the authority of God.

We have racked up quite a body count of awful crimes, and I believe the only way out is for us to repent and turn to Christ. This would be things like no more Pride parades, no more drag queen story hours, no more abortion on demand, no more legalized same-sex unions — all of that, done. That’s the repentance part.

CHICAGO (WGN) - A WGN creative services department employee was detained by two
Border Patrol officers and later released after federal agents swarmed a busy intersection on Chicago's North Side Friday morning, at the height of rush hour.
WGN is not naming the employee, as station policy requires blurring faces and not identifying those who have not been charged with a crime.
Witnesses on site who captured the incident on video spoke to WGN about the moments leading up to the staffer's detainment.

Thomas added that when he made his way down to the scene, around 8:30 Friday morning, he realized there was another person already detained inside the minivan being used by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
"I didn't get his name, although I asked for his name," Thomas said. "He didn't speak very good English. They claimed that the WGN employee was obstructing justice, even though she was, like all of us, just standing there, taking video.'
"

Comey's lawyer is a famous and universally respected former US Attorney who has probably supervised thousands of discovery requests in his career. Lindsey Halligan has zero prosecutorial experience and had to bring in backup prosecutors to help.
