The 4th season especially is so peak, might be some of my favourite genre TV of all time - and Iain de Caestecker would have won awards if his performance in that season was on a more popular show.

This was technically late S1, which is frustrating because it makes it hard to recommend when most of S1 up until that episode is pretty shippable

As has been said in the replies I think the consumer who wants this is buying it for the form factor over performance etc. This is a way to make your entire steam library mobile and it's very easy to play docked as well. As an original Ally owner who bought it on release, $999AUD is actually alright

I played more Hades 2 in early access than Hades in total, and in my opinion it's better in almost metric. My one comment for people who waited to dive in is, in my opinion, Hades 2 is SUBSTANTIALLY easier than the original. Curious to see if that ends up being the consensus?

Strong agree. Narrative/pacing took an absolute nosedive and it feels like all the flashy lights and sounds made people forgive an extremely underdeveloped plot

It does seem to illicit pretty extreme reactions on vibe alone. When I previewed it I honestly couldn't stand how corporate it felt, but if I was playing it with mates instead of alone it would have likely insulated me from that.
