For a long time, the US extreme right was held back from ruthlessly pursuing its goals by the notion that "someone" would stop them & punish them.

Trump 1 taught them nobody would stop them, & Biden taught them nobody would punish them.

Years ago, I saw the coach of the Cleveland Browns tell a sideline reporter who after the game basically "we tried real hard to win, but in the end the other team scored more points" and then dude just ran off and I was impressed with his wisdom.

What I enjoy doing is pointing at my cats and saying things like "new form of TERROR" and "unspeakable bloodlust" in a death metal voice. I do this twelve, twenty times a day. They enjoy it, and I enjoy it. We all enjoy it. A little light escapes into the world. You're welcome.
