Whenever indie devs use AI, it hurts their sales potential and retention because it’s a 🚩red flag for generalized unprofessionalism and cut corners.

Getting real art from a pro will make you look like a pro.

Time to update my PFP! That photo I've been using was taken by @dahlumii.bsky.social in 2016, and now that I have my hair buzzed (and some gray in the beard) it needed changed. But I didn't wanna lose the iconic red BG, so I magically inserted new me into the photo like I did once with the mask.

Three photos of my head against a red backdrop, one is the original from 2016 (with lots of hair), the next one is a photoshopped version I did in 2023 where I added the canid mask to it, and the bigger version below is from 2025 with my hair all buzzed.

"Tron" is a perfect example of what I call a dead evolutionary branch in cinema, and I love it. No one rushed to make another movie that looks like this because the techniques involved at that moment of tech were so mental and yet so appropriate for this specific story, it's a unique treasure.

I think what's impressive about TRON is that, visually, it's still so much more interesting than any of it's sequels. It's crazy that they tried update this digital world by making it as 'realistically rendered' as possible. It's a complete misunderstanding of the original's charm.

California just banned employers from forcing workers to pay a debt, fee, or penalty to leave their job.

Bosses have increasingly been trapping workers with debts incurred in training and other exploitative fees.

Now that's illegal in the nation's biggest state.

Ultimately I just think it’s noteworthy that people preaching love and tolerance will, say, take a queer person’s job and remain silent when accountability is requested.

Or lie to cover up their behavior.

Or queerbait their fandom into supporting them while disapproving of homosexuality

This isn’t me saying “Christian = bad” but when you examine the circumstances and the fact that these actors make their religion a big part of their identity, I can’t help but wonder how those Christian ideals match up to their behavior and how much of it merely excuses it.

What is the commonality between all of these cases? Aside from them all being in the same game, obviously.

They’re all openly Christian. One of them is even a jehova’s witness.

So when you see people like Dr Ratio’s actor saying “many VAs feel the same,” I think you should be concerned about that.

Earlier this year a cis actor took a striking non-binary performer’s role in Honkai Star Rail. When there was outcry he remained silent.

Another Hoyo actor then came forward and insisted “he knows nothing about the strike or SAG,” which I learned in private from the scab’s friends was a lie.

Recently the voice actor for Dr Ratio in Honkai Star Rail came out in support of Charlie Kirk and his ideals, and when saying this he added in one of many posts that “many fellow VAs feel the same.”

Some actors have hand waved this statement as bullshit.

But I do think it’s important to examine.

Already today, Israel has:

-Conducted a drone strike on Khan Younis in Gaza

-Shot & wounded two others near Khan Younis

-Killed 5 Palestinians in Gaza City

-Fired on & wounded a several others near Jabalia

All in violation of the “ceasefire.”
