The #Avs win 3-1 in a game where they took over in the 2nd period.

Nelson is okay after a skate cut incident. Necas also had a goal called back due to an offside coach's challenge. There was never any doubt on who the better team was.

Got a skate cut on my wrist in high school and there was a lot of blood, but didn’t miss any time. It really just depends where you get cut and looks like Nelson got lucky.

The #Avs are tied 1-1 after the 1st. Despite having a slow start, Mack gave the #Avs the lead. Unfortunately, Wedgie got beat by a shot through traffic for the tying goal.

The #Avs have the capacity to dominate this game. It's up to the players to make that happen.

I'm not making excuses at all. My point was that Otter was the difference-maker. The Avs played great but couldn't bury the puck when they had the chance. This is why Otter is elite and Wedgie is a backup. They are worlds apart. This game would've been 12-4 if it wasn't for Otter.

The few chances the Avs surrendered were high danger, and the Stars capitalized. Otter was the only reason the Stars won.

Postgame thoughts 💭

The #Avs played strong for most of the game. Otter was the only reason the Stars were even in this game. He continued his strong play against the #Avs.

The 2nd line needs to produce pts. The pp looked dangerous. The team can only get better.
