Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 81st day out of the last 93.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.
🌿 Go Green 2025 was a huge success! The attendance was double that in previous year for the annual Environmental Fair at the Powell Community Center in Mission. Many opportunities to learn about sustainability, recycling, native plants, and more — plus giveaways and fun for all ages!
I am proud to have organized Johnson County's first Water Summit that brought together community and municipal leaders, elected officials and water professionals from around Johnson County and the state of Kansas last Friday for collaboration to protect and preserve our critical water resources.

Soybean farmer reacts to Trump’s bailouts:

"A government payment is nothing more than throwing a dollar bill on a spilled glass of milk . It's designed to not make us whole as farmers, and that's the biggest misnomer of all... This is a man-made disaster. This is caused by this administration"

this is why trump wants to go to semi-annual reports, so people will be clueless, so they can claim ‘that’s old news. We’re doing great now. Besides, biden anyway.’

Unemployment, worker pessimism, inflation and the deficit are all heading up while consumer sentiment is down. Yet the stock market has continued its climb, with the S&P 500 index closing Friday up more than 12% on the year, just shy of a record. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

To take away Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II's seat, the Missouri GOP is splitting Kansas City into two districts along Troost Avenue, KC's historic segregation line.

But it has an intersection with another major thoroughfare in KC:

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard.

Under Missouri Republicans’ gerrymandered map, the so-called Troost Divide would carve up Kansas City again.

The Missouri House has approved a map that silences Missouri voters and undermines democracy. This outrageous power grab is designed to gerrymander Representative Cleaver out of his seat, and we must continue to fight back.

Not sure whose fault it is primarily that most people don't seem to know that the president is basically a manager whose job is to carry out the will of Congress, and not The Country's Boss
This “explicit” is a weird editorial choice. The constitution gives the president no power over this at all. It’s not ambiguous.
