Shout out to all disabled artists trying to sell art. It's hard, the risk/benefit analysis for events has shifted, and being more prone to rejection sensitive dysphoria doesn't help.

Per CDC source: At internal leadership meeting this afternoon, it was shared that 1,257 people were RIF'd at CDC. Number may not be final. Apparently, chief of staff was unaware that RIFs were going to occur so not clear who is making decisions. (Short 🧵)

YouTube says it doesn't collect racial data and @fdsignifier.bsky.social has made the point before that it doesn't need to.

Own interests are heavily influenced by cultural biases so I'd argue their algo is very effective at targeting you based on race, gender, etc.

Cooking and health based videos turn into fad diet and "alternative" medical stuff if I'm not careful with that "not interested" button.

In a way it hasn't before it really feels like a specific viewpoint is being pushed on me instead of my own viewpoints being reinforced (which is normally how the algo works).
