One thing that doesn't get talked about when discussing how difficult it is for trans people to secure employment is that once you DO find a job, even somewhere "progressive, affirming", your identity & their knowledge of how hard it would be for you to find something else will be used against you.

Costumes, absurdity, & joy at protests are strategy. It exposes oppressive systems as the unwarranted bullshit they are. This makes their “war in the streets” lie so obvious. It’s perfect for “going viral” to the masses.
