With all these CFB coaching openings never forgot the chaos of a week that was Oregon's 2021 coaching search. Everyday a new name, breaking Twitter spaces, former players writing letters, Jordan Lanning and players' parents talking to fans, landing on a guy nobody saw coming. What a time! #GoDucks

Holy crap what a throw and catch from Baker Mayfield and Tez Johnson

We’re only halfway through the 2025 CFB regular season, and it’s clear we’re headed to a full-on coaching carousel bloodletting.

Supposed institutions of “higher learning” have managed to negotiate themselves into paying $200 million to people who will no longer be working for them.

Rico Dowdle went OFF against his former team 💥

That’s back-to-back 100+ rushing games for the Carolina Panthers RB.

This coaching cycle is going to be INSANE! Ya’ll can hire whoever you want to as long as that person’s name isn’t Dan Lanning. He’s not available

I don’t think Penn St is a program that it’s automatic they stay near the top of the sport like other programs. Feels like it wouldn’t take much for them to become Nebraska
boykelly.bsky.social
Understood why Penn St did this, but this is a HUGE risk for them. They’re essentially saying for $18M a year they can get a coach better than Franklin. Not sure who they can get that fits that

NEWS: Penn State has fired James Franklin, source confirms.

267 is Oregon’s fewest yards at home since putting up 262 vs USC in 2005! The only other time they put up less than 300 yards at home in that span? 277 vs Wazzu in 2017, a Braxton Burmeister start #GoDucks

This is fewest yard of offense in a game under Lanning. 276 in the Rose Bowl was the previous low #GoDucks

Hoosiers' defense holds Ducks to 267 total yards
boykelly.bsky.social
From my count there were 4 games worse under Mario, 2 bowl games and 2 conf champ games. Naturally Oregon won 3 of those 😂

Northwestern going 8-1 in the Big Ten is still very much in play
mattbrown.bsky.social
This Big Ten schedule is so weird. If either Ohio State or Indiana pick up a dumb loss somewhere, the tiebreakers could get very messy, since there are a LOT of teams that don't play either Ohio State or Indiana this year that could potentially finish with one loss

Wisconsin hasn't been using any of their fireworks for scoring, so they are launching them all during halftime lol

Shoot Indiana kicked Oregon’s ass today so we are in no place to gatekeep anything
boykelly.bsky.social
I really hope Oregon fans/media don’t contribute to this gatekeeping. Oregon’s been fighting for respect from the sport’s elites for 30 years. We know what it’s like to be Indiana a helluva lot more than it does to be Bama or UGA, so let’s not act like they don’t get the opportunity to do that also
norlander.bsky.social
It took Gonzaga 15-plus years to get to this tier. I'm interested to see if there's a swath of backlash and gatekeeping against the Hoosiers the way the Zags had this weird militia of skeptics for a real long time (and in some ways, still do, stupidly).
boykelly.bsky.social
Shoot it feels like people still do that to Gonzaga including fans of much lesser programs

Dante you gotta throw the ball downfield bud #GoDucks
boykelly.bsky.social
Dante Moore and the o line were both alarmingly bad today. Those are both spots now to watch going forward #GoDucks
boykelly.bsky.social
Or the game at Penn St was just two not great teams playing each other. We shall see
boykelly.bsky.social
Said all offseason a successful year would be 10-2 and a playoff appearance. That’s still very much on the table #GoDucks
boykelly.bsky.social
Kudos to Indiana. They played great today and took it to Oregon. They deserved this win and are legit good
boykelly.bsky.social
Good thing now is teams can afford a loss or 2 and still get to the playoff. Oregon’s going to have to be a lot better than today to get to that point though #GoDucks
