Sorta sounds like Bolivia *was* sending their best.
That kind of tenacity, commitment, love ... America could have been really improved with more men of Mr. Merida's caliber.

Every day at noon, no matter how busy, Johny Merida Aguilar left his construction job and hurried to his 5-year-old son's school to feed him. His son has brain cancer and generally only accepts food from his father.

Merida Aguilar was arrested by ICE in September and faces deportation to Bolivia.
He was caring for his 5-year-old son with brain cancer. Then he was detained by ICE.
A court has temporarily blocked Johny Merida Aguilar's deportation to Bolivia.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by ICE in Everett and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

New article out this month on how doctors become fascists.

50% of German physicians joined the Nazi Party––twice the proportion of any other profession. US doctors today are arguably the most conservative in the world, and we're heading along a similar path.

Congress needs to demand transparency re these CDC firings and what happened. I don't think "miscoding" is the reason nearly 50% of those fired were rescinded. Maybe it was the public awareness that programs like global health, suicide prevention, and measles response were being eliminated...

No one knows what is happening. Now, we are hearing some of the CDC RIF notices might have been in error.
Error = Miscoding

Where are we hearing this? Through media of course! No one is being transparent with CDC staff.

We continue to track the cuts. Stay tuned.

This conversation about "unhealthy" #physicians gets to... what does a "perfect" physician (or #professor) for that matter, look like? I have fellow Professors at my U (not necessarily in #medicine) who are men who had long hair in manbuns, pink or blue hair, heavily tattooed - who gives a sh**

Do you see where this is headed?
Tweet from Jordan Weissmann: “Asked for an example of a group that had funded a violent protest, Trump named ActBlue and Indivisible, which I think pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the goals here.”
Below is a screenshot of an article excerpt detailing that neither George Soros nor Open Society Foundations fund protests, and noting that the White House named liberal groups like ActBlue and Indivisible in relation to violent incidents.

MAGA: Pediatricians must take care of antivax families.

Also MAGA: Based on executive orders VA doctors may choose to deny care for patients based on marital status or political affiliation.
Screenshot of a tweet from @janjekielek it is an interview with Joseph Ladapo. A balg black man wearing a grey pinstripe suit with two flags and florida health as a backdrop.

Many pediatricians refuse to treat kids who haven’t received certain vaccines, says

Joseph Ladapo. He’s determined to end such denial of medical care in Florida:

“It's a really repulsive policy stance…It is very clearly coercive to punish families by kicking them out of your practice if they do not agree to taking a medication.” Headline of a Guardian article from June by Aaron Glantz:

The thing that called my attention was the role of the "Drug Recognition Expert."

This should be shown to medical students for years about how doctors, entranced by power and fancy titles, lent the legitimacy of the medical profession to a deranged authoritarian.

Can doctors sink lower than this?

Trump: "Portland, I mean -- every time I look at that place it's burning down. There are fires all over the place. When a store -- there are very few of them left -- but when a store owner rebuilds a store they build it out of plywood. They don't put up storefronts anymore. They just put wood up."
