Nerdy advocate for static websites and the tools that build them. Inveterate supporter of the Oxford comma. Old enough to remember when Americans were proud to be anti-fascist. Admitted Apple fanboy — don’t judge — but also very pro-Linux.

Imagine a browser where you type in “Taylor Swift” and it doesn’t even admit that her website exists. I write about Atlas, ChatGPT’s new anti-web browser that should come with a warning label. www.anildash.com/2025/10/22/a...

Confirmed, the "Gaza peace deal" was the same deal offered to Netanyahu and the US repeatdly, but it was turned down by Israel because they wanted to gift Trump (Israeli asset) a perceived victory at the expense of the Israeli hostages and Gaza population.

Guys, every person you see on Fox News in a mask is just Robert O'Neill, retired Navy Seal and occasional Fox News contributor. He's the former Antifa, former Gazan, former gang member. His eyes are very unique.
Much appreciated!

Yep, I've been pwned. 2FA reset email, looked very legitimate.

Only NPM affected. I've sent an email off to @npmjs.bsky.social to see if I can get access again.

Sorry everyone, I should have paid more attention. Not like me; have had a stressful week. Will work to get this cleaned up.
@bad-at-computer.bsky.social Hey. Your npm account seems to have been compromised. 1 hour ago it started posting packages with backdoors to all your popular packages.

CBS News is giving up the power it has to hold “Face the Nation” interviewees to account. Following pressure from Trump, it has agreed not to edit interviews, even to remove false statements or propaganda uttered by political operatives and officials, or add explanatory context.

I’m gonna need someone to explain how changing the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961, the only law keeping the NFL from having games on most Saturdays, would be a good thing for college sports.

"Even as fact-checking surged in the past decade, so had the wave of false claims and narratives swamping the world."

Some utter nonsense, really just drivel, the conclusion of which is edgy racism - this is the essence of Curtis Yarvin, the purest distillation of who he is as a person.

📝 New post: The Pyramid of Merit - I've been ruminating on a quote from Chris Hayes' book Twilight of the Elites for the better part of a year now and I thought I'd share it.

If you’re using the Kopia FOSS backup tool, be advised that there’s a bug in the newly released v.0.21.0 that will cause it to keep making “snapshots” over and over again. You’ll probably want to revert to v.0.20.1 until this is fixed.
