Halting the install and trying to repair it did not work. Guess I have to fully uninstall and re-install. Ugh
I tried uninstalling Solidworks, and during that process it came up with an error. Somehow a Firefox thread had a lock on a file. I hope that is why I couldn't create a new part.
Solidworks crashes everytime I try and create a new part. I can only create a new part sometimes if it's part of an assembly.

As I went careening down a path of self doubt and insecurity, I lost myself somewhere along the way.
Somehow, Obama being president at the time convinced my young mind that there were forces at play I did not understand and there were those in power who knew better than I.
The idea of contributing to this grossly consumerist society was enough to drive me insane.
I didn't have the phrase at the time, but what I now know as 'no ethical consumption', was vexing.
I was deeply conflicted about the economy during my coming of age, and every day since, but staggeringly so at the time.
