The classics never die.

(And I'm very happy for you.)

Every time someone makes me read something Peter Thiel said it’s like “Scrooge McDuck is Jesus Christ and Huey, Dewey, and Louie are Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel and Daisy is Mary Magdalene and that’s why women voting has lowered American sperm count.”
Introduce yourself using only one food you refuse to eat, once movie you'll never watch again, and one song you can't stand:

* Mushrooms. (Uh, the eatin' kind.) Can't do it. Every bite gives me the willies

* Don't Look Up. Awful allegory made with snide misanthropy

* "The Joker" by Steve Miller
Introduce yourself using only one food you refuse to eat, one movie you’ll never watch again, & one song you can’t stand:

- Cucumber anything. However you think it tastes, that is not how it tastes to me
- Farewell, My Concubine (Beautiful. Brutal. Once was enough)
- Collective Soul, “December”
Introduce yourself using only one food you refuse to eat, one movie you’ll never watch again, and one song you can’t stand.
- Mayonnaise (is it even food)
- the Chalamet Wonka remake
- “Ironic,” Alanis Morisette
I wasn't even at it, but I fully agree
In addition to this being laughably unconstitutional and anti-American, trump's staff is so bad at writing that they just made trump just said ICE, Border Patrol, LEOs, and the military are the ones who will be "immediately arrested."
Oh he can just unilaterally pass unconstitutional laws now huh ok

AI actress Tilly Norwood has tragically passed away while filming her first movie with director A Hologram of John Landis
I had to severely curb my Patreon…er…patronage, but I'm never dropping Barry Deutsch.

Not only do his toons wildly transcend the "political cartoon" bar, but they hit hard, they always make me think, and they're just delightful to look at.

This four-panel cartoon shows two women talking as they walk through a park. The first woman has red hair and glasses, the second woman has a red hoodie and black hair held in a bun.

PANEL 1

GLASSES: So what do you think – is democracy done for?

BUN: What do I know? I thought Trump was definitely going to lose. Twice.

PANEL 2

A close shot of Bun, who looks distressed.

BUN: When I was a kid lots of smart people said we were doomed to be destroyed by nuclear war, and I believed them.

PANEL 3

BUN: I was shocked when the Berlin Wall fell. And I thought we’d never get gay marriage or legal pot in my lifetime.

PANEL 4

Both characters smile, and Bun spreads her hands expansively.

GLASSES: So you predict things will be all right?

BUN: No, I predict catastrophe. But it gives me hope that my predictions are always complete garbage.

CHICKEN FAT WATCH

Chicken fat is a venerable cartoonists’ term for unimportant details put into the backgrounds.

PANEL 1: There’s a hole in the ground, and Marge Simpson is popping her head out of the hole.

An almost illegibly tiny newspaper lies on the ground. The newspaper is called “The New Fork Tines.” The top headline says “Democrats Choose Youth For Leadership Position,” with a sub-headline reading “Newly appointed leader only 71.”

A bottle lying on the ground has a label that says “Old Litter.”

A mouse is holding a skunk at gunpoint. The skunk has its hands raised and next to it is a sack with a “$” on it.

PANEL 3

A bird flying through the air is wearing sunglasses and smoking a cigarette.

A hole in a tree has a paper hanging from it, which says “Hole For Rent, utilities not included.”

PANEL 4

One of the buildings in the background has a gigantic teddy bear climbing it King Kong style.

The mouse from panel 1, holding a shovel, stands by a freshly dug grave. The money bag lies near the mouse’s feet.
The manosphere is so completely fucked right now that "walking through the woods" and "writing poetry" is considered weird.

Stay in front of your screens 24/7, chat with your AI girlfriend, and write angry reviews to places you've never been. THAT'S what normal men do.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw: "This is about lying to Congress under oath, and Comey needs accountability for that. He doesn't get to just walk through the woods and write poetry and do other weird things and post on Instagram anymore. He's gonna actually have to face it."
I'm not even sure ethics had anything to do with it. I think it was Trump's other enemy - competence. Siebert and his team realized there was no way to successfully prosecute either of them.

Watching TPUSA officials trying to reign in conspiracies about Kirk’s death as if this isn’t the very political environment they helped to create by being unrepentant propagandists and boosting the career of every QAnon fuck they found. Jack Posobiec was Kirk’s podcast co-host for fucks sake.

Trump: "We've got a lot of stupid people in this country running things."

Hey, do you know anyone who could do something about this?

wow, difficult decision! do the right thing and cement your legacy as a hero in history books. or make a lot of money!

tough!!
One other wrinkle to consider as Bob Iger makes his decision about Jimmy Kimmel
What about all those Nazis who absolutely think Trump is a Nazi?
At this point I'd like to take even more crazy pills.
I will say to the death that standing by your values is the most important thing we can do, that if we abandon our principles in the name of scoring points (or, um, winning elections) then we stand for nothing.

But fuck, sometimes it's like fighting a house fire with a water pistol.
I continue to be impressed, amazed, and kind of depressed that people on the left are actively trying to get to the truth of the matter while people on the right have made it abundantly clear that the truth does not matter - only the narrative.
This NEVER HAPPENED. Again, this is something you’ve heard repeated secondhand that has been accepted as fact and dispositive proof. Even if he had dressed up as Pepe as a 17-year old it doesn’t prove much. But he didn’t! At all!
Pepe the Frog Halloween costume seems like a right wing slam dunk

A social media user—wrongly accused of posting negatively about Charlie Kirk—was suspended from his job alongside a tidal wave of threatening messages and phone calls, sending his mother and sister fleeing from their home.

I don't know if that's Dash's game or not, and the last thing I want to do is get all hand-wringy when literal lives are at stake here.

But if we don't continue to stand for evidence and truth, what do we stand for?
