A gathering of my tiny Fitt family for my 80th birthday. Celebratory lunch at #Amuse at #VMFA It has been many years since we were all together and the only gift I requested.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered W Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the sea.
At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.

A mark of greatness in my profession (acting, not shitposting) is an effortless quality. One of the reasons Diane Keaton doesn’t get the same roses as, say Meryl Streep or Glenn Close, is she made it look so easy. It definitely was not. One of the greats.
