Just realised that today was the first day in weeks that we haven’t had to support the 7yo through a meltdown

Hoping this is the start of him finally settling down a bit after so much unknowns

Andrea Compton was elected in Takapū/northern. She started her campaign as part of them. But she was one of them that distanced themselves after Chungs comments about Whanau.

I wonder if the distancing might have favoured her? But not sure, given how the ward can vote

I love the fact that his justification for his piss poor result in the local elections is that Wellington City voters are uninformed and don't know what they're voting for.

Of all the ways to show how spectacularly you are off the mark, to suggest Wellington is politically ignorant...amazing

I knew I was never going to be entirely happy with my ward, when there were only 2 candidates I wanted

Only 1 of them got elected.

The 2 who were elected that I don’t like are zero rates rise people 🙃

Just discovered why having stairs and a slow lift in the house sucks for me

7yo cried out. Says his head is really sore.

He’s cuddled up with Dad now. Starting to go back to sleep. But I didn’t like that I couldn’t get to him quickly too.

Was able to come up eventually & give him pamol though ❤️

Potentially. He did wake up at like 5:45. And it is the end of the first week back at school.

But he wakes up early often. And normally only shows tiredness from school near the end of the term

The E Tū Fb post did a shout out to one of the cleaners at my work, Mareta, for speaking up on the need for them to be paid the living wage.

Mareta does essential work. If she didn’t do her job properly, the collections would be at risk of damage.

She does amazing work ❤️

GOOD NEWS ALERT 🚨

Today the government relented to pressure from the @livingwageaotearoa.bsky.social and retained the requirement for contracted workers to be paid at least the Living Wage rate in Government Contracts. Around 5,000 workers will likely benefit from this decision
