Oh my precious little teddy bear,
My sweet baby,
I love you,
I remember you,
I miss you so much.

Looking ahead, my 1:00 choices are Browns/Steelers or Cowboys/Panthers, what the actual fuck. The Jaguars are playing the Seahawks IN JACKSONVILLE, how is that not an option in Savannah?!

I guess I'm hatewatching Rodgers and the Steelers. Go Browns! (I'm not optimistic about that, looking bad so far.)

that allowed light effects to glow off the page in a way I'd never seen before? I don't feel like these scans capture it; on the page, the effects seem positively luminous. I love it, and it was a whole new experience for me, as someone who'd read comics for most of my life. Way beyond Kirby Krackle

Since digital coloring is your thing, I have a ? that will probably have a more technical answer than I can understand: was there some kind of revolution in digital coloring between the 90s (when I checked out of superhero comics) & DC's Blackest Night crossover event (when I checked back in)…

I just meant, it isn't actually a buttock, which would be an understandable thing for someone to think who didn't know better.
citytrees.bsky.social
Doesn't it actually refer to the shoulder?
citytrees.bsky.social
That sounds like the kind of thing that nobody who does comics in any professional capacity should be getting wrong at this point. Is it really still an issue?

Yes, if a male grifter like Chris Rufo or Ben Shapiro were named the head of CBS News, yes, the reaction would have been just as fierce.

No one is objecting because she's a woman. Jesus, get a grip.

You think for ONE SEC that a man in her position who was named head of CBS News would be the subject of so much to-do? Come on.

The whole "you should be proud of Bari Weiss because she's a WOMAN entrepreneur" argument reminds me of this comic:

Seems like this dates all the way back at least to the aughts. I'm almost certain I read blog posts about the conservative imbalance on mainstream Sunday shows back then.

I didn't get to watch. What did I miss?

It's my privilege and joy to give him that life! He had to say goodbye to his Mama of many years (she got too old/frail to keep caring for him), so I'm glad he seems to feel so happy in his new home with me.

…when I take him somewhere new, he acts anxious & confused. Not quite four months since I adopted him, we're still figuring stuff out, but on a lot of things, he got set in his ways pretty quick. He is 9 years old, I guess. I love my little dude, just wish he could be more open to newness sometimes.

That makes him very easy to care for, but harder to get a variety of interesting pictures. Whenever I wanted new Butterbean "content," she was always up for a bike ride in her backpack, then she'd start exploring as soon as her paws hit the ground. Bambam doesn't like riding in the backpack, and…

Bambam is such a sweet, simple little guy. He LOVES his routines. He naps until it's "time for" something (meal or walk), then comes to me with his tail wagging, never pushy or impatient, just happy & eager. He sticks to the route he established early on, then back home for a treat and more napping.
