I'm pretty wary of this kind of analysis.

There's no suggestion that Trump's "pressure" is anything other than diplomatic.

And there's no indication that Trump won't just get bored and move on (say after the Nobel cycle).

With so much destruction - to people (over 1 in 10 killed / injured) and to infrastructure (90% of schools damaged / destroyed) - a ceasefire would be only the very beginning of recovery.

As Jewish people know well, trauma can last generations.

I was visiting friends in Boston 30 years ago and climate change came up and I was expressing my dismay about it all and they said “well unlike the Dinosaurs we have technology“ and I angrily shot back “yah right… technology is going to save us”.
