You know what, let's do the Annual Mister Global National Costume thread tonight after all. Usual rules apply - this is all in fun, this isn't about the contestants looks or making fun of them, it's about the costumes and appreciating them (or, you know, making fun of them...)
Weirdly it took until almost the end of grad school to realize why my situation was causing burnout because it was the opposite of the bad situation I had been in before… working as a research tech in an academic lab.
It was a real revelation when I realized a partner telling me I was wrong or questioning my choices could just mean that they were confused or wanted me to do better, not that I was a Bad Person.
Had to do some of that recently because a client drew a proposed compound in a way that I knew was wrong, so I had to figure out whether I could make something plausible with the same mass.
I put my lactaid in a Pez dispenser, thanks someone on Insta's idea. It makes it fun and I am always excited to take the lactaid so I remember to take it.
I'm genuinely curious what boosters of AI art see as the end state. There's a limit to how much people can consume and if production costs are effectively zero, why would anyone pay for it? Feels like the ultimate in short-term thinking.
I was out for roughly 36 hours and have the data from my watch to prove it. Was hoping the newer Moderna wouldn't be as bad with a lower dose, but oh well.
I think Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel took something of an interesting approach since it does the "Wait, are we *actually* the bad guys?" thing, but it also sort of depends on which characters you choose to play.
