Today of all days, friendly reminder that in the comics US explorers showed up and destroyed Namor's people and homes robbing them of a generation. Raised to want revenge, continued predation of the oceans also fuels the rage Namor feels for the surface. It is a prototypical indigenous experience.

That is ultimately the core of Namor. Wakanda Forever softens the actions of the US and shifts to Spanish colonial genocide, but ultimately the indigenous experience, the rage, is the same. This is worth acknowledging and remembering today.
