New #fursona! I had a fun time ideating and designing her and having @chamdoodle.bsky.social finalize the design!

I'm generally pretty positive on games I finish despite them being bad, even Sonic 06 and Spyro Enter the Dragonfly. Some games like Hey! Pikmin or NSMBU are just so nothing that I finish them and don't care afterwards.

I have some weird picks in there I know but I stand by it

a tier list of metroid games. the tiers are The Best with Metroid Prime, Fusion and Zero Mission
Very very good with Prime 2, Prime 3, Prime Pinball, Dread and AM2R
Pretty good with Prime Hunters, Metroid 1, 2 and Super
Okay with Samus Returns and Other M
and Haven't finished with Federation Force

If you're reaaaaly familiar with the bomb jumping and positioning its not too bad but considering I was only able to beat it on Wii until this year, its definitely not easy. Boost Guardian isn't too bad but definitely a major skillcheck. Both are made worse by a lengthy walkback should you die

If you're looking to get into the 2D games, Fusion or Zero Mission are the way to go though, perfect levels of flow, challenge and optional exploration that they're still the peak of the series to this day

Plus I think the Wii version of Prime 2 is most approachable since it gives you spring jump for one of the bosses and they retuned the difficulty to be more manageable. Definitely going to be harder than the first but not a mess like the GC version.

The Prime Trilogy is a great place to start! I feel most version differences between GC/Wii/Switch are not going to be very noticeable to new players so as long as you like the controls you're in for a good time!

Freeing myself from letting an algorithm decide what I should be seeing has done wonders for my mental health

(Also letting my social media have an 'end point' when I'm caught up had been great to not scroll forever)
