On a personal level, I think he gets and understands the crisis we're facing. He just doesn't think it's his job necessarily to do anything about it. There is nothing respectable about that position.

Very frustrating. This stuff should be decided democratically at elections. The media hardly even mentioned climate change and biodiversity crisis at the last election, which helps pave the way for this kind of abandonment of leadership.
