Trying to use more Irish - please feel free to correct me if I make mistakes!

Apparently I talk a lot about folk music.
Heartbreaking. Right around the way from us.

Going to be fostering an older lady dog who has had a tough time in kennels.

I am already completely, terribly in love with her.

Varo and @firedrawnear.bsky.social at the Pepper Canister Church.

A thing I love about the Irish folk resurgence is that you can have an Italian, a Frenchie and a Dub singin songs from a 19th century progressive songwriter that feel more relevant to the present moment than most modern music.

Off out to see Varo and Alannah Thornburg play the Pepper Canister as part of Trad Fest.

First gig of the year!

On the one hand, I am fairly sure Pokémon GO is a psyop for planning invasions. On the other, I just managed to evolve my Magikarp into a Gyarados. So on the whole, it’s pretty much a wash.

Madra Salach just dropped an EP. Featuring this lil song, The Man Who Seeks Pleasure, which is extremely good and was written in a urinal. The first time I heard it, I was ready to fight and or die for Paul Banks by the end, and that feeling has not dimmed.

They’re still killing journalists in Gaza. The horrors and war crimes have not stopped.
Three journalists on their way to film a displacement camp in central Gaza were among at least 11 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces on Wednesday. Their vehicle was known to the Israeli military and their work was sponsored by the Egyptian Relief Committee www.theguardian.com/world/2026/j...

Our next game up continues with our cute animal theme as GM Ben brings his Shadowdark game The Fane of Corruption back to #AthCon4

The players travel high into the mountains to the abondoned temple of Saint Terragnis where some cult of ratmen has sprung up.
I assume that they want to be friends.

I’m usually very YIMBY, but some of my favourite stuff is in this industrial estate - my gym, my local Saturday market… Am I to chain myself to railings in support of small-scale organic veg producers?
Councillors have agreed to rezone a big industrial estate in Glasnevin. A masterplan for the area foresees up to 8,500 homes being built on the lands, as well as schools and sports and community facilities, and more.
