Sydney Reid acquitted.

This was a case where someone filming was assaulted, and then arrested and charged with felony assault.

The grand jury no billed that, so they took her to trial on a misdemeanor charge. There were a bunch of discovery problems.

And now this.

Kudos to the FPDS!

A verdict form for Sydney Lori Reid. She was found Not Guilty.

Sophomore year, discussing Ibsen's "the Wild Duck" in English class. The other students were blandly talking about how great the piece was, but then I opined that the child in the play was a whiny brat and there were audible gasps. Professor LOVED it and it sparked an entirely different discussion.

Marie McGowan, 89, has died 3 years after a brutal assault during which she was put headfirst into a rubbish bin. Her attacker, Alex Bailey, believed she was "a man dressed as a woman."
